For the production of Filik Fiber, firstly, unusable fabric clippings formed in textile and garment enterprises are collected. The collected clippings are separated among themselves according to their content, color and type and stored separately. High quality fiber production is realized by combining our 1990 years of experience in the sector with our latest technology fiber opening lines. The produced fiber is offered to the service of all sectors producing yarn, fabric and nonwovens with high quality and wide color alternatives.
Although the raw material group that creates the most problems for the environment is seen as synthetics, natural fibers also pose various environmental problems. Environmental damages caused by pesticides used in the production of cotton, which is the most produced and consumed fiber together with polyester (other beneficial organisms die, causing fish deaths, leaking into groundwater, etc.), genetically modified cotton production and chemical-based fertilizer use. It receives intense reaction of environmentalists for reasons such as effects. Although it degrades in a much shorter period of time compared to synthetics in nature, the environmental damages caused by the production process are now damaging the "green" image of cotton fiber. Synthetic fibers, on the other hand, are the group that causes the most serious problems among solid textile wastes as it does not disappear for a long time in addition to the environmental and economic problems caused by obtaining petroleum-based products.
Regenerated (recycling) fiber and yarn production, which is regarded as environmentally friendly, helps to reduce the use of garbage incineration and garbage storage areas by recycling textile waste. Thanks to processes that do not require dyeing, it reduces water use and water pollution. For example, approximately 11 thousand liters of water are needed to obtain 1 kg of cotton, and 130 liters of water are needed to dye 1 kg of yarn. Thanks to the recycling processes we apply, 10 million liters of water is provided daily.
